Bonnie Crumpler was born in Banner, Kansas August 20, 1926. She graduated from high school in Independence, Kansas.

She married the love of her life, James Crumpler. They spent most of their married life in Abilene, Texas. They also lived in Mt. Pleasant, and Hewitt, Texas. She loved working with children in the Nazarene Church and School. She planned amazing activities, parties and taught many children over the years.

Moving to Mt. Pleasant was a new chapter in their life. Being Watkins distributors opened the door for new friendships and exciting travels from Paris, Texas to Jamaica.

Her love of family and friends was expressed through her love of cooking, sewing, crafts and table games. It didn’t matter if it was a fish fry on the river, a big holiday meal, a church potluck or a surprise visit for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie, she loved them all. Her door was always open to everyone. The influence of her caring and giving heart was experienced by many throughout her life.

She will be greeted in Heaven by her husband, James; daughter, Cindy; loving parents; brothers, and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra and husband David Schell, Gwen and husband Jaime Miramontez; grandchildren, Danielle Schell, Darin Schell and wife Danielle, Jasmyne and Desmond Mangrum; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lucia, Serenity, Isaac, and Dezzie.

Bonnie leaves family and friends to cherish her memory

The family wants to thank Baylor Scott and White Hospice Team and Visiting Angels.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Baylor Scott and White Hospice, Visiting Angels or Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.

Condolence from John Johnson on November 22nd, 2022 2:44 pm

Bonnie was my beloved aunt, and the last person in my previous generation to die. I have always remembered her as a gentle, sweet, kind lady, who never wavered in her faith. She was married to my uncle James, and I loved them, and all their children very much. My heart and that of my wife Elizabeth go out to Debra, Gwen and all their family. St. Paul assured us that we will be reunited with Our Lord, as James’ father, my beloved grandfather LD used to say, “by and by.”
