Bobby Phillips, 83, of Waco, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Service Information:
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, in Waco.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, at Rosemound Cemetery.
Bobby was born February 20, 1934, to parents Thelma Margarite Graham and Silas Roy Phillips in Springdale, Arkansas. Following high school, Bobby enlisted and served five years in the United States Air Force. August 10, 1957 Bobby joined with his beloved, Betty Ann Dickey; together, they have celebrated 60 years of marriage. Bobby and Betty were blessed with six children, and were members of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Roy Phillips of Waco, and Thelma Margarite Phillips of Springdale, AR; grandson, Kevin Scott Phillips of Waco; brother, Jimmy Phillips and sister, Barbara Jean Phillips, both of Springdale, AR.
Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Betty Phillips; sons, David Phillips and wife, Donna, Alan Phillips, Mike Phillips and Daniel Phillips and wife, Maritza, all of Waco; daughters, Christie Abel, Carol Veselka and husband, Jeremy, all of Waco; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Oaklawn Baptist Church, 2105 Behrens Circle, Waco, TX 76705.
