BJ has been a dear friend for over 25 years. We enjoyed shopping and having lunch together. We also attended many Bible study groups together. She was an avid Bible student and also enjoyed collecting quotes. She was a very sweet lady and will be sorely missed.

I met Dave and BJ 49 years ago when Dave and I began our careers with the Social Security Administration. We reported to work for our first assignments in the Temple, TX office, meeting for the first time on October 1, 1973. Dave and I and our wives immediately became good friends and have remained close friends throughout the years. I’ve enjoyed BJ’s kind and gentle personality and loyal friendship for 49 years. Rest in sweet peace,BJ. You will be missed.

BJ was a very special person. She was kind, gentle, soft spoken, resilient, and strong. She loved her friends and family fiercely. We met at church over 35 years ago. We have so many good memories of those years at Aldersgate and St Andrews. Whenever I think of you, BJ, I will remember your sweet smile and your loving, loyal nature. Save a seat for me, dear friend.

Until we have that reunion, Brad and I will keep Dave, Beth, and Joe and their families in our prayers.

B.J. was a dear friend to me since we met years ago when she occasionally helped me in a school library. I can’t imagine a kinder soul. I will miss her greatly. My prayers are with her family. “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” Jesus, in John 11:25-26

Condolence from Brad and Bonnie Kershaw on November 4th, 2022 2:08 pm

I am so sorry we were not able to be at the service in person, but we watched online and we were there with you in spirit. The service was lovely, and truly a reflection of BJ’s gentle, quiet nature. Beth, you did an incredible job. It was neat to hear just how much your Mom and I had in common: our love of horses, cowboys, cookies, and windmills. Although BJ knew I was “all hat and no cattle,” she knew I also enjoyed barrel racing (but only as a spectator!) and loved to share video clips with me on Facebook. Dave, we are thinking of you, Beth, Joe, and all the family. Please know we love you all, and hold you in our prayers.

Condolence from Winona Bennett Cross on November 5th, 2022 5:56 am

Joyce was my neighbor and dear friend in high school. We ran together. We talked horses and music. We shared dreams.

The Lovington High School Class of 1969 will miss you.

Teresa Kerby Absher wasn’t able to go on line to post a message. She said to send everyone her sympathies.

We laughed about Arts and Crafts in Junior High with B. J., about dragging main, and just about our friend.

Condolence from Andrea, Troy, Lily, and Molly Sporleder on November 5th, 2022 4:15 pm

Uncle Dave, we love you and wish we were there to hug you and Beth and Joe. Our hearts are broken, but we know she is in a better place. We will cherish our many memories; she truly was the best aunt.

Condolence from Sam and Diane Scott on November 9th, 2022 12:34 pm

David and Kids,
Diane and I are so sorry for your loss. There is just nothing to say that makes it any easier to ease the pain but time will help make better. Time makes the hurt less and the happy memories stronger.
