Bill was born August 19, 1937, to Frank and Gladys Pittman in McLennan County, TX. Bill was the oldest of three boys. He loved and was loved by his two brothers, John and Roger Pittman.

Bill left school to help support his family and help raise his brothers.  At the age of 23 Bill was drafted into the Army.  Afterwards, he worked for several bottling companies and owned many local bars, and his own construction company in Waco. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling with his Pilot Car Service all over the US.

He met the love of his life, Vivian, and quickly fell in love.  They wed February 22, 1969, and spent the next 54 years as best friends.

Bill’s biggest passion in life was his family.  Bill was a devoted husband and father who instilled a strong foundation of love and hard work in his family.  He cherished raising his children and was especially excited to welcome 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren into this world.

Bill enjoyed having a cold drink, racing cars, speeding across Lake Waco, and riding his tractor.  He doted on his grandchildren, and provided them endless, fun filled days and nights. Even sitting on the back porch with a pile of sand and the water hose turned into a fun time with Papaw.  We will remember Bill for his loving nature, his playfulness, and his occasional, endearing stubbornness.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Coe and Brenda Denise Pittman; brothers, John Aubrey Pittman and Roger Dale Pittman; and sister-in-law, Betty Pittman.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Vivian; daughter, Rachelle Watkins and husband Ken; son, Billy Ray Pittman and wife Lisa; and son, Chad Coe and wife Stacey; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends who will sadly miss him.
