Billy Jack Barak, 73, of Bosqueville, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

A Private Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

Billy Jack was born May 20, 1951 in Waco to Emil and Mary (Taylor) Barak. He was raised in Waco and attended LaVega High School where he met his beloved wife, Brenda McAdams. they married on February 12th 1971. Billy Jack worked for Cameron Mills for several years before going to work at Owens (Illinois) Brockway glass plant where he retired after 31 years.

He was a devoted husband and an exceptional father and grandfather who faced every challenge in life with strength and courage. He always put his wife and children above all. He taught his family the importance of hard work and doing what was right. He wasn’t big for the ‘I love you’s’, but his loved ones never doubted the absolute love he had for them.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and attending car shows to show off his pride and joy, his 1967 Camaro.

He will be remembered for his love of animals, (his little chihuahua Rosco) motorcycles, and classic cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Barak.; and grandmother, Nannie Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Brenda Barak; children, Serena Barak, Alicia (Danuel) Thomas, Amanda (Cesar) Navejas, and Billy (Laura) Barak, Jr.; grandchildren; Ashton Barak, Makayla (Matt) Broadbent, Jacob Barak, Jasmine Navejas, Danyelle Thomas, Braden Barak, Dylan Barak, Deondre’ Thomas, Kason Barak, Garin Durham, and Grace Durham; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Velma (Danny) Volcik, James (Sharon) Barak, Larry Barak, Brenda (J.R.) Sulak, Judy (Randall) Ray, Marilyn (Paul) Anderson, Carolyn Woodard, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Dr. Sean Delue, Dr. Donald Cross, CTNA Nephrology- especially Dr. Robert Go, Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospice, Waco Fire Department, and AMR Ambulance Co. for all of your professional care and  concern expressed to Billy and the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Foundation or Baylor Scott & White Hospice.
