Billy Dean Arnold, 78, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Crenshaw officiating

Burial: Bosqueville Cemetery

Billy Dean Arnold was born November 11, 1940 in Moody to O.L. and Vera Arnold. He graduated from Waco High School. Billy married his high school sweetheart in 1962 and they lived and loved one another for 56 years. He coached girls softball at Northern Little League for many years. Billy worked for the City of Waco for 39 years in the Engineering Department. He was an avid dirt track racing fan and was known to love to laugh, joke around and tell stories. Billy was a wonderful husband, son, brother, dad, uncle and of course “Paw Paw” to three grandsons that he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy is survived by his wife, Rita Arnold of Hewitt; daughters, LaDean Arnold Huser and Dana Cockrell and husband, Gregg; and grandsons, Joshua Huser, Zachary Huser and Carson Cockrell.

    My Condolences to the loved ones of Mr.Arnold . I met him thru the inspections he did on so many of the concrete projects that I was involved saddened in . He and I actually put the 1st (official) A.D.A. Handicap Ramp for the C.O.Waco . He was liked and respected by very many contractors including myself . We have missed him on our job sites .
