Condolence Messages

  1. To Vallie, Gary and Janet…
I just learned of Betty Lou’s passing and I wanted to share a few thoughts. I will always remember those wonderful days when we were kids in the Falls County 4-H Club. Don Callahan was the County Agent and was in charge of all our activities… and there were many. We went on outings to Fort Parker, Riverside Swimming in Belton, camping trips to Lake Brownwood, and numerous other functions there in Falls County. Those are some of the fond memories that I have of my youth. Later in life visiting with Betty Lou & Billy and getting to know Gary at the Vogel Reunions over in Otto was a real treat for me. I’m sorry I lived so far away because I’m sure we would have made opportunities to create many more fond memories. Betty Lou may be gone from this earth but she will always live in my heart.
May God bless all of you during this most trying time and may the perpetual light shine on Betty forever.
    Much love,
    A W

    To Ray, Ron and Lynn
I am deeply sorrowed about the losses you have endured in a scant few years. We all had a good life growing up with our parents back in Hamshire. All are gone now, but we all can take the best times and share them with our families. No on ever departs from us if we love and remember them.

  7. To my beloved sister and best friend. I will always cherish the memories of you from the time we were just kids growing up on the farm to the time you left us to be in heaven. You were not only my sister, you were a wonderful Aunt to my two sons. They will miss their Aunt Betty. You always went the extra mile. Roger will miss you too. You were the sister he never had. I know Nita and Czar were waiting for you with wagging tails. May heaven be everything you dreamed it would be. We will all miss you and always have a spot in our hearts that aches just for you. Love forever, Janet & Roger

  8. Betty and I worked both at Brazos Electric and Syzygy together and she will truly be missed. She was a dear friend and I loved when she would share those Portals Prayer Books. I pray that the family will be strengthened and will hold on to the great memories you shared. Thank God she no longer has to suffer.

  9. I will miss the sugar free candy you always brought for my birthdays. You were the most thoughtful lady and it was always appreciated. Now you are where you were destined to be, with the Lord. Peace

  10. Lynn and Family,
I worked with Betty here at Brazos for 12 years. She was a cheerful person and one could always find a candy dish with treats for anyone who visited her office. At break time or lunch hour, we could see her walking the parking lot, weights in hand and head phones playing her favorite tune. I know Czar was there waiting for her and she was happy to see all the familiar faces that came to welcome her. Although she is not here, she is just a whisper away. We will all miss her and may God grant you peace.

  11. Aunt Betty was a very special person in my life. Most of my memories are from my summer visits to Texas. Aunt Betty always offered words of encouragement and wisdom. I can still remember our conversations we had when I was young and her positive outlook. I enjoyed her casual sense of humor and how she could make us laugh. There are so many great memories. We prayed for Betty this past year and many people at our church in Colorado Springs prayed for her and would ask how Betty is doing. Even though they had never met her, they just knew she was a special person. I will miss her and never forget her.

  12. Betty was beyond a great lady! She showed kindness and respect to people and never asked for anything in return. May God take you and you be forever in a place of of greatness.

    A sincere friend,
    Mark Pavelka

  13. Lynn, Ron, Ray, and Vallie, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Betty was like a mother to me. She never failed to have some good advice or encouraging words for me. I am so thankful that I visited her in Arlington these last few weeks. I think I received more from the visits than she did. The angels in heaven are rejoicing because they got a good one.

  14. To the family of Betty my prayers and thoughts go with you at this sad time. Betty was a lovely person. We worked together a number of years at Syzygy and she was a joy to know. I know it is hard at this time of grief but just know that Betty is in a better place and is without pain.
