Betty Joyce Daily, 79, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 1PM Monday, November 1st at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff with Rev. Ron Oden officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 4PM Sunday October 31st at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Betty was born January 19, 1931 in Waco to Harlon and Luna May (Grayson) Hutchinson. She grew up in Waco and graduated from Waco High School. She attended business school and McLennan Community College. In January of 1949, she married Clarence W. Daily. She retired from Central Texas Iron Works.

Betty was a lifetime Methodist and a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church. She was an avid genealogist, as she was a 6th generation Texan. She was a member of National Society DAR., United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include husband of 61 years, Clarence W. Daily of Lacy Lakeview; daughters, Patsy Williams and husband Rodney of Jewett, Sandra Dies of Pearland, and Nancy Threadgill of Hewitt; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother Wayne Hutchinson and wife Marie of Mosheim; two nephews; and one niece.

The family extends a special thank you to the 3North Providence Hospital staff and Providence Hospice, especially Irenka Vlanjnic, Kathy Reel, and Dr. Nick Schwedock, and Pastor Ron Oden.
