Condolence from Bruce and Karen Haslem on April 18th, 2021 8:05 pm

Betty was such a great lady. She is my mother’s cousin. We haven’t been able to see her much because we live so far away. We so enjoyed taking Betty and Faye to see Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks maybe 15+ years ago. We thought so much of our Texas cousins. We know that the Savior knows Betty and has welcomed her home. Our sympathy to her wonderful family. She is with her parents and sister in paradise. We felt her faith in the Savior. With our love to the family who will miss her.

Angela,
It is with much sadness to offer my condolences to you regarding your mother. Such a beautiful soul. I remember her support she had always given me at softball and basketball games. I remember her’s and your dad’s laughter when we would put on plays for them. I remember our trip to New Mexico and am still on the hunt for that photo of your mom and Aunt Faye!! And boy oh boy, the trouble we got into that she put up with!!! She was a very strong woman to drive 3 hours from Houston, at night, to tell you that your father had passed away. As heartbreaking and devastating as it was, I’m honored that I was able to be with you. And now, to not hear your mother and mine on the phone chatting and giggling over everything and anything, seems so surreal. No matter how old we get, how busy we are, our history can never be erased or changed or forgotten. And I wouldn’t want it to be. Love you very much, Julia
