What a sad day for many of us that knew Barbara. I met her in ’99 when I returned to Baylor to coach. Got to know her pre football games when she ran the Bookstore @ Floyd Casey on my early game day walks. Through the years she never once forgot my family or my girls. I moved to Alumni work in ’06 and she was so eager to travel to our events and make sure we brought a little Baylor to each event. It was always about YOU — never about her. She was such a sincere, caring person. She shared her love. Baylor lost an employee and Heaven gained an Angel! Never forgotten.

So very sad to hear about Barbara’s passing, but what a legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind. When I worked events for Baylor Alumni, it was such a relief to see Barbara and her traveling boxes come down the hall! She was always willing to lend a hand. I often observed how she was a mentor to her co-workers and never missed an opportunity to be the light for those around her. Heaven’s gain! She will be missed.

Barbara was like a ray of sunshine, always brightening the life of anyone she encountered. And she raised a group of faithful kids who represent the good in this world. My prayers go out to all of you! Love, Dina

Cassie and family of sweet Barbara: We had the pleasure of knowing Barbara through our employment at Baylor. We always sought out her whenever we were in the bookstore just to say hello and have a short visit. She always asked us, “how is my boy doing” referring to our son. Our son worked as a student in the bookstore and Barbara took him under her motherly wings. She had a big heart and a loving spirit. ✝️💟. Heaven has gained an angel.

Barbara was such a joy to know. I met Barbara when I started working at Baylor. Even after I left, if I was around the campus I would stop by the bookstore just to say “hi” to Barbara. A kinder and gentler soul, she epitomized God’s love; it radiated from her. I was blessed to know and love “Miss Barbara!” My sympathy to her family. I know she will be missed.

Barbara was such a pleasant and genuine person. I looked forward to seeing and visiting with her whenever I went into the Baylor Bookstore. Sometimes I would go the the bookstore just to see if she was there. I could tell she was dedicated to Baylor and her association with the university and to her family. She would often talk about her kids and grandkids and their lives and activities. And what a great legacy she has left the world through them. My sincere condolences to David, Cassie, Phil, and Cindy and their families. My visits to the Baylor Bookstore will never be the same without Barbara there.

Hello Hull Family, My condolences to each of you. One of the many good things that I remember about your mom is how happy she always was. God gives us our joy and she was always full of joy. I remember all the good times we used to have with the “Jesus Teens” and that old red bus at Connally Heights. I hope I am not getting the bus mixed up with Parkview, but I may be. Would love to see each of you. May God’s blessings be upon you at this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Barbara putting Shelbi and I to work in the bookstore when we were in Jr.High. We removed old barcodes from books! I was always in awe of how active and busy Barbara was as a grandma! It was so good to have had the chance to meet her. She was always smiling and warm. Bless your family during this time. I know she will be missed dearly.

Prayers to Barbara’s family. I enjoyed working with her at Lakewood Tennis and Fitness Center. She always had a smile and made members feel so welcomed. Blessings to all of you, I know she will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Barbara was such a sweetheart. Our son worked for her at the BU bookstore, and she was his biggest fan. Well after he graduated, she would find us at church just to ask how he was doing! We will miss seeing her sweet face, but hallelujah, what a Savior!

It has been a great joy and honor working with Barbara the last twelve years. God will has a new best friend.

I loved that woman! Barbara and Keith were the real thing…loving others in Christ’s name. Their kids were in my Highland Baptist Youth Group and were some of the most fun of all the youth. Barbara kept up with our work at Mission Waco and Church Under the Bridge and often helped make donations happen for our ministry. She always greeted and encouraged me on trips to the Baylor Book Store, and always said for many years that she would work “just one more year.” It’s time to rest in the Lord, my friend. Tell Keith I said “hello!”

I was given a special opportunity to work with an amazing person from 2008-2014. Barbara was my lifeline to the University in getting to know people and build relationships. Miss Barbara knew everybody and if I threw a name out she did not know she could find the person that did know them. The many road trips to out of town games and Alumi events were always the best. We would work all day and then pack up and hit the road for a nightly trip to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and beyond. She literally would run circles around you and still have enough in her to keep going. Oh for just one more hug from you! To Miss Barbara’s family thank you for the moments that we got to share with her away from you all. She is a treasure that truly will be missed by all. I know she is dancing with the loe of her life on the other side. Until we meet again dear friend!

I knew Barbara though the Baylor Bookstore, and always sought her out when there. Barbara’s vitality and radiant smile never failed to energize us all! Barbara’s life is a wonderful testament to kindness, selflessness, and serving others, and the world is a better place because of her. I feel honored to have known such a dear, sweet lady!

What a true Blessing Aunt Barbara was.

I was greatly saddened to hearing of Barbara’s passing. Never met a gentler, kinder soul. She will be greatly missed by employees and students alike. I know she touched those around her in a profound way, because of the students I met at the Bookstore who had graduated and moved away, but came back just to see her and say “Hi!”. When coming to work at the Baylor Bookstore two years ago, I immediately was drawn to her, she made you feel like family. I am so sorry I did not get to see her, but I know I will see her again, and that is of great comfort to me.
