Our hearts are broken to hear of Barbara’s passing. Although it’s been a little while since I’d seen Barbara, I feel like it was yesterday. What an amazing person with a remarkable life. I am so thankful that I got to spend time with her at the boys Baseball and Football games throughout the years. I remember laughing so hard my face hurt for a full day. She was real! I’ll always cherish those memories and the fun times we had together. She had a sweet, sweet spirit and spoke with a genuine true heart. She had a way of drawing people in and making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. It was truly a comforting feeling to be in her presence and I’ll cherish it forever.
Casey, your mom loved you immensely and it was beautiful to watch that unconditional love play out in your life. There are no words for something as heartbreaking as this. I wish you didn’t have to know this pain. You brought so much happiness to her and she loved being your mom. She never took that role lightly. Her kindness blessed us all and her laugh was contagious. I loved her laugh…I’d laugh at her laugh! You had the best mom who would have gone to the ends of this earth for you. I admired her loyalty and the incredible love for her family. It was unmatched, hands down.
I know her heart was broken when she lost her mom so we can rest assured that they are rejoicing together in Heaven now. And she has not stopped talking since the moment she arrived.
We are never ready to say good-bye to those we love and it’s especially hard when we lose one’s that fill the world around them with so much joy. Without her light, it’s a little darker on earth today – but, I hope you guys find comfort in holding all the precious memories in your heart.
Much love, Malinda, Derek, Lexi & Landen

I still remember the first day I met Barbara. I was so nervous starting a new job at Tatex and she was going to teach me how to operate a Heidelberg. Barbara taught me so much and she was such a good friend. She was always smiling and friendly and just a joy to be around. I’m so glad to have known her. I haven’t seen her in quite awhile and it’s so very hard to believe that she is gone. My heart breaks but I know that this sweet, sweet angel is finally at peace. You will never be forgotten and you will always be missed. Duane, Casey and family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. God bless.
