Anna Loraine Dennis, 83 of China Spring, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation: Monday, October 24, 2016 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Service of Celebration: Anna’s life and her legacy of family will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 10:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco with Pastor Greg Moore officiating

Burial: Patrick Cemetery in China Spring. Pallbearers will be Kade Matheson, Steven Willis, Chris Willis, William Willis, Brandon Garrett, Cody Ramburger, Zach Ramburger, Bobby Robinson and Justin Garrett. Honorary Pallbearers will be T. Jai Leathers, Jerry Buro and Albert Cruz.

Anna was born August 19, 1933 in McGregor, Texas to the late Tom Tillman and Artie Opal Waters Riley. Anna was self-employed for many years and later worked for numerous years at Griff’s Grill & Café, as a cook. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan, never missing a game and rooting for her team. Spending time with her family was Anna’s passion in life, they brought her great joy. She also enjoyed her books, solving a good word puzzle, working jigsaw puzzles with her grandson, going camping and traveling to Louisiana to the casinos. Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Artie Riley; her first husband and father of her children, William Hardy Willis in 1999; her second husband, Alfred Clark Dennis in 1985; her four siblings, Tom Riley, Jr., Doris Holland, Evelyn Jackson, and Irene Sommerfeld; and her granddaughter, Jessica Willis.

Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory and continue legacy of family are her six children, Evelyn Gatlin and her husband Larry, George Willis, William Willis and his wife Cindy, Mary Robinson, Peggy Ramburger and her husband Matt, and Betty “JoJo” Matheson and her husband Kenny; sister, Opal Marsh; 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her special furry companions, “Little Girl” and “Little Man”; along with a host of other loving family and friends. She is a loving and special spirit and will be truly missed.

Anna’s family would like to give a special thanks to her Providence Hospice Care Team, Dr. Brown and Nurse Rita.

Anna’s family will gather after the graveside service for a further time of sharing of memories and a meal at China Spring Tabernacle, 127 Ford Street, China Spring, they welcome you to join them for this time of fellowship.
