Rusty Burkett, 64, of Waco passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Ascension Providence Hospital. He was born in Knox City, TX.
Service Information: Memorial will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at China Spring United Methodist Church, 12301 Yankee Rd., China Spring, TX at 2:00 p,m. with family and friends fellowship to follow (Masks requested but not required due to Covid)
He was preceded in death by brothers, Dean Burkett and Earl Burkett; grandson, Chase Burkett; and his parents, Andy Burkett and Peggy (Peterson) Volker.
He is survived by brothers, Donald Fox of Kerens, James Burkett and wife, Mildred of Crawford; sisters, Caroline Parsons of Waco, Darlene McNiel and husband Larkin of Moody, Kathy Mathis and husband David of Whitney; daughter, Amanda Burkett of Laga Vista; grandchildren, Chandler Burkett and Kylie Dixon; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Rusty was a mechanic for many years and also worked in the Mobile Home manufacturing industry. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends.
