Andrea Sexton

Andrea Elaine Skinner Sexton, 65, of Texarkana, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 in Waco with her daughter holding her hand. She will be terribly missed by her family.

Andrea was born July 28, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Skinner. She was the third of six children. Being an Army brat, she moved a lot. Until the family moved back to Texarkana. She graduated from Texas Senior High School in 1973. She married in December of 1974. She became a mother to Casey on May 23, 1975, Amity was born January 5, 1978 and Keri July 7, 1979. Her favorite place to live was in Wertheim, Germany. Her favorite food was spaghetti and meatballs. Her favorite colors were yellow and purple. When asked who the love of her life was, she replied “my girls”. Elaine became an instant Rara to Sierra, Taylor and Tyler in 1999. She became a RaRa to Piper in 2000. Devlin in 2009 and Miles in 2012. She cherished every moment with them. She gained Duane as a son in 2008 and Kenny as a son in 2010.

She loved working on Rt 5 with the United States Postal Service. Andrea missed her friends and customers like crazy when her illness forced her to retire in 2020. She is very loved and cherished.

I am sorry. She is so blessed to have 3 adoring daughters and 3 loving grandchildren. You all are so blessed to have a devoted, valiant mother. Saying I am sorry seems so puny. I do pray for each one of you. The Lord has the power to comfort you as only he can. If there is anything i can do. Please let me know. I sincerely mean it. Nothing is too small or too large.

I have thought of your precious mom ever since she no longer delivered mail along 237 & Cornerstone Church on Union Rd. She was so special. We talked a lot about our families. Her family was her life. I am SO SORRY to hear of her passing! Praying for each of you!❤️❤️❤️❤️
