Allan Robert Keim

Allan Robert Keim, 66, beloved husband and father, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.

Allan was born April 28, 1952 in Long Beach, California to Robert and Lois Keim. Being part of a military family, he traveled around the United States with his family and ultimately settled in Waco.  While in Waco, he owned and operated his own painting business, Al’s Custom Painting, where he made many lifelong friends.  Everyone that knew Allan knew of his servant heart and welcoming character. He strongly believed in giving to others in any way possible, even if it were just a simple smile and hug. Allan spent much of his life serving others, dedicating years of volunteering with Northern Little League and Bosqueville Baseball Association.  It was also no secret the amount of patriotism he had as he loved and honored this country through his service in the Army.

Some of Allan’s hobbies included listening to music with his daughter Emalee, collecting sports memorabilia, anything that involved getting out of the house and working with his hands, and his most favorite, riding his motorcycle with his son Ryan. Above all else, Allan would want to be remembered for the amount of love he had for his family, as he made it known to everyone he came across.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lois Keim, sister Arlene Del Toro, and niece Karen Oakes.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori Pursche Keim; son, Ryan and fiancé, Lauren Brooks; daughter, Emalee; beloved dog, Ahli; sons, Robbie and Allan Jr; granddaughter, Allyson;  brother, Steve Keim and wife, Debbie; sister Donna Keim Oakes and husband, Jack; nieces, Kristy Oakes Morrisey and husband, Brad, and Michelle Keim Cocklin and husband, Paul; nephews, Mark Keim, David Keim and wife, Kayte; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
