Albesa "Bessie" De La Garza, 76, of Waco, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2013, with her husband at her side. Funeral Services are set for 10AM Friday, July 12, 2013 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6-8PM Thursday, July 11, with Rosary to begin at 7PM, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco. Albesa was born January 16, 1937 to Abram and Nataila (Garza) Escamilla in Los Ebanos. She later married Manuel De La Garza and together they had a son and daughter. Albesa was a loving and devoted wife, a precious mother, and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Daniel Escamilla.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel; son, Bert De La Garza and wife Laura; daughter Yolanda Rodriguez and husband Juan; two grandsons, Adam De La Garza and wife Sophie, and Ryan De La Garza; two granddaughters, Wendy Linkous and husband Calvin, and Megan Frausto and husband Junior; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Linkous, Gunner Linkous, Madison De La Garza, Mason De La Garza, and Baby Boy Frausto, due to arrive in September; and a brother, Lupe Flores and wife Maggie, all of Waco.

The family would like to thank Bethany Home Health Care for their support and love, and extend a special thanks to Dr. Jeremy Korteweg and Dr. Kevin Steele for your attention and care as well.
