Cecilia Jean Earhart, 88, known lovingly as “Jean”, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016.

Visitation: Jean’s family will gather for a of sharing memories and support on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco.

Honoring Jean’s wishes she will be cremated.

Jean, a native of Waco, was born November 9, 1927 to the late Joseph and Cecilia Trautchold Welch. Jean was an active member of the Waco community for many many years, working for over 30 years in the medical field as an X-Ray Technician. After retiring from the medical field she worked for Merrill Lynch for about 15 years. Continuing with her passion of helping others, Jean volunteered at the Providence Hospital for over 10 years. Staying active with volunteering and even doing her own yard work until up in her ‘80’s, has been a true inspiration to those around her. Jean’s loving nature and care for others will truly be missed. Jean is a preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cecilia Welch; her brother, Edward Welch and her beloved husband, F.C. Earhart in 1996.

Jean is survived by her sons, Chuck White and his wife Anita of Axtell and Lonnie Bryant White and his wife Janet of Waco; her sister, Joann Wallis; grand-children, Crystal Lane and her husband Rick and Cecilia Wetzel and her husband Brad; great grand-children, Carly Lane and a new one on the way, Rhett Wetzel; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

Jean’s family would like to offer a special thank you to Providence Hospice for their loving care of Jean over the last few months.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Jean’s name should be sent to Providence Hospice.
