William “Billy” Pikett, 39, of Irving, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015.

Funeral services: 10AM Tuesday, January 6th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

No visitation is planned.

Billy was born July 11, 1975 in Longview to William H. and Sandra S. (Goloyugo) Pikett. The family moved to Waco in 1984. Billy graduated from Parkview Christian Academy in 1993 and from Texas A&M in 1999. He worked for several DFW construction companies as a structural engineer and later as a forensic engineer. Billy enjoyed motorcycling and the Smoky Mountains. He adored his family.

Survivors include wife, Leslie Pikett; son, Christian Chandler Pikett; daughter, Victoria “Brook” Pikett; parents, Sandra and William Pikett; sister, Melissa V. Woodruff and husband Justin; brother, Jonathan D. Pikett and wife Angela; grandparents, William H. and Vivian Pikett; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to “Billy Pikett Benefit Fund” at any Extraco Bank location or online.

  8. Reminiscing today with my 17 year old son about the time I took a trip (at 17) with Billy Pikett to the Smoky Mountains. Listening to “Ace of Base” on the way up and both of us hard headed and stubborn about doing everything “my way” and almost got lost. Jeff Reel came with us the following year to help balance us out. So many fun stories about my best friend. I will miss him.
