Tyler Lewis Ruiz

Ruizobit

Tyler Lewis Ruiz, 24, of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Waco, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 in Mesa.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 15, at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery

Celebration of Life: at Waco Missions, immediately following the burial.

Tyler attended and graduated from University High School in 2011, where he was a member of the band.  He had a deep affinity for music, playing the saxophone, drums, and guitar.  He even played in a local rock band.

Tyler was a health-conscious young man who often could be seen running or bike riding the local trails or lifting weights in the gym.  He was a great friend to many and was able to impact the lives of others through his kind spirit, listening ear, and helping hand.

In spite of all his many achievements, his greatest pride is his son August Ruiz.  Tyler loved being a father and was a hands-on dad, never turning down an opportunity to be involved in August’s life, including changing those dreaded diapers.

Tyler is survived by his loving and dedicated mother, Tamara Pinckney; father, Benjamin Pinckney; supportive and caring mentor, Justin Aycock; siblings, Rhianna Ruiz, Jonathan Gonzalez, and Cierra Gonzalez; nieces, Amaya and Christianna Robinson; honored and cherished grandparents, Alfredo and Noemi Ruiz, Sr; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to count.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations of food and drinks.
