Royce Kim Cogburn, 59, passed away June 10, 2015.
Visitation: 6:30PM to 8:30PM Thursday, June 18th at Old West Cowboy Church, 1412 S. Robinson Drive, Waco.
Memorial Graveside Services: 10AM Friday, June 19th at Rosemound Cemetery. Ray Cogburn officiating. Reception and meal will follow at Old West Cowboy Church, 1412 S. Robinson Drive, Waco.
He was born on June 27, 1955 in Waco to Lewis and Gladys Cogburn. He graduated from University High School in Waco in 1973. Royce was a truck driver for many years for the manufactured home industry. He enjoyed following in his father’s footsteps by buying and selling used equipment. Dirt track racing was also a passionate hobby of his.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Cogburn and Gladys Cogburn, his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and a great niece.
He is survived by his sons, Chris Cogburn and wife Crystal, Brad Cogburn and wife Jennifer, 7 grandchildren – Stephanie, Weston, Trevor, Braylen, Emma, Levi, and Jase. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Cogburn and wife Natalie, and his sister, Sue Cogburn. Survivors also include one nephew, two nieces, and their families, two aunts, numerous cousins, and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to a charity or church of your choice.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at the loss of Royce. I have known Royce from way back to the mobile home days and him always rolling in and toting em out. Last year I spent alot of time with Royce at HOT Speedway while working with the pit crew. Gonna miss him. Thoughts and prayers coming your way in the days and weeks to come. My mother and I have been knowing Royce ( Rooster) forever. Although we have not seen him for many years we recently reconected with him through facebook. It was tragic and shocking, to hear of his passing. He was always a kind and loving person, and all my memories of him were fond. I would like to express my condolences to his family and many friends we lost a wonderful person but heaven gained a wonderful angel. RIP dear friend till we meet again !!
