Mary Kathryn Walden Kussmaul, lovingly known to most as Kathy, 78, of Moody, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy was born, September 28, 1939 in Houston, to the late Edmund and Geraldine Noonan Walden. Attending and graduating from Temple High School, she went on to attend the Hermann Hospital School of Nursing. Kathy achieved her LVN degree and worked in the Moody and McGregor Nursing Homes for over 50 years. Kathy lived her life full of love for others and practiced her Catholic faith with strong conviction. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Geraldine Walden; son, James Arnold; two brothers, Edmund Walden, II and Jere Walden.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Laurie Arnold; son, Richard B. Kussmaul; two grandchildren, Jason Flentge and Kristi Ashcraft; five great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Honeycutt; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
