Jeremiah Flip Thomas, 16 years old, passed on to glory on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Funeral Services: 10AM Friday, August 31st at Antioch Community Church, 510 N. 20th St., Waco 76707. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

A born-again child of God, he was the youngest son of thirteen children that make up the Thomas Nation. He was an All Star, State Champion football player with the Parkview Pacers. He ministered the Gospel of the Kingdom at Planned Parenthood on a weekly basis to save the lost and spare lives. He served diligently with the national ministry, Operation Save America.
Jeremiah did not waste his cancer. He wrote and released, “A Letter to My Generation.” It has gone worldwide. His Make A Wish went viral as well. Instead of going to Disney World or meeting a celebrity, Jeremiah asked to meet with Gov. Abbott to discuss a bill of abolition in Texas. Though Make a Wish could not make it happen, it happened anyway. His talk with Gov. Abbott about outlawing abortion in Texas circled the globe. Gov. Abbott responded, “Your wish has been granted.”
Jeremiah’s life, message, and testimony has reached into the church world, the sports world, the political world, and even Hollywood. His story has been picked up by national and international and news agencies, including Fox News. He was featured as a “Midnight Hero” on the Shannon Bream show.
The Daily Mail, the 2nd largest newspaper in London, also ran his story. Italy picked it up and the largest pro-life student group contacted him to discuss how to abolish abortion in their country.
Recent gubernatorial candidate for Governor from Oklahoma, Dan Fisher, did a special interview with Jeremiah since he ran on the platform of abolishing abortion in his state. State Representative Tony Tinderholt who has and will introduce another bill of abolition in Texas honored Jeremiah with a Texas State Resolution.
The Resolution stated in part, “Jeremiah Thomas…has confronted adversity with a spirit of self-less courage… Jeremiah has demonstrated a strength of character that is an inspiration to everyone around him…An exceptional young man…Jeremiah Thomas be honored for his extraordinary bravery and advocacy.”
His short life has brought great glory to God. He has touched and transformed many lives throughout the world. “To live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

Jeremiah was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Thomas.
Left to cherish his legacy are his parents, Rusty and Kendra Thomas; Sisters Shekinah Gray and husband Levi, Cassia Wachsmann and husband Robby, Destiny Hall and husband Caleb, Charity Peterson and husband Josh, Maranatha Thomas, Sophia Thomas, Torah Thomas and Jubilee Thomas; Brothers Elijah Thomas and wife Lindsey, Micah Thomas and wife Bella, Josiah Thomas, and Valiant Thomas.

I can’t begin to describe how much Jeremiah inspired me. I already loved this kid from my time as one of his coaches. But through all of this he taught me what it truly meant to be a man of God and a man of faith. I know everyone called him Jeremiah, but he was always Jerry to me. I miss Jerry. When that place is no longer occupied, who is there? When I don’t have a brother , who is there ? When the children don’t have an earthly father, who is there? God himself is there. God the father the Son and the Holy Spirit , the Trinity that are everywhere present at one time. And our heart hurts because we have lost a big love with Jeremiah, not a small love. It is going to hurt because we have lost something precious. But we remember through our pain that it’s a temporary separation. We weep for ourselves, but rejoice for Jeremiah!!! This is not the end, but we must occupy. We must occupy until we are reunited. Through our tears, we put on the garment of praise. I heard about Jeremiah on VCY America’s Crosstalk yesterday. My heart goes out to your family. What a brave soldier of the cross Jeremiah was! So much attention has gone to Sen. John McCain, who was a war hero, yet he never fought in the army of the Lord Jesus Christ. He embraced some views that God abhors. He has his service medals and rightfully so. However, Jeremiah Thomas was the greater hero for he spoke out for the unborn and for biblical values boldly in the face of venomous opposition. His rewards await him in heaven. He was the greater hero in my opinion!
Jeremiah was such a blessing to us all. Even though I never got to meet him in person, I grew to love him as one of my own. He brought so many people together all around the world with his faith in our heavenly father. His legacy will live on and abortion will be demolished not only in Texas but in all states. Jeremiah, I know that God is pleased with what you accomplished and is holding you tightly saying well done my son, well done.
My condolences to this family. I didn’t know Jeremiah but learned of his illness through a former coworker. My heart ached for Jeremiah. Seeing this young soul suffer and watch and see the pain he and his Family endured is horrific. Thank you Jeremiah for saving so many lives in your short time here on earth. Although I never knew Jeremiah it was a privilege to follow the remarkable story of this young servant of God. No matter how challenging the days grew or how difficult his suffering, Jeremiah’s message always turned our eyes to God’s faithfulness. His focus was always Jesus and so often God was on display. Today Jeremiah is in the presence of his Lord and Savior and the young servant knows that He was worth it all, all the loss and all the pain & suffering. Jesus is so worthy.
Our deep sympathy goes to his family and we pray that God’s presence would bring you much rest, comfort and strength.

Jeremiah was (and still is) a beautiful soul. He came to the earth with a work to do, and I have no doubt that the Lord was there to meet him when he crossed the veil to say, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” How appropriate that he was ordained to be Jeremiah, for this scripture in Jeremiah could not be more appropriate. I am 100% sure that before Jeremiah was formed in the womb, the Lord sanctified him. “Jeremiah 1:5, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Thank you, Jeremiah, for changing the world.
I grieve with you. I did not know him but he seems like a most wonderful son. Such a brave boy. Praise be to God.
Dear Thomas Family, I’ve only known about Jeremiah fofor a very short while but I’ve been praying for him and his healing either here or in heaven. I’ve just read that he has gone back to the Father and my heart heavy for your loss. I know your beautiful boy is rejoicing, safely back in the loving arms that 16 years ago passed him to you to teach him and shape him into him the beacon of light he became in the darkest places of this world. Jeremiah showed us how to live out John 3:30. I was and am very blessed to be a part of knowing this precious family through Parkview. Rusty and Kendra y’all are in our prayers. We all have been encouraged and blessed by your strong family ties and display of true selfless love and sharing of Jeremiah’s deeply personal struggle. When some would have withdrawn and stayed to themselves, your true love for the Gospel and desire for God to be glorified trumped personal tragedy. Jeremiah willingly gave of himself during his most trying times with a smile and always a polite demeanor. He was a remarkable man, His “wish” will continue to yield fruit in our nation and around the world. I remember meeting Jeremiah and the Thomas family years ago at Church on the Rock Waco. Our families grew with Christ together. Jeremiah always was a fighter in all he did. May God continue to bless the Thomas family during this time. During his short time on this earth, he lived! I’m honor to have known him and the family! May God give each of you comfort and peace.
Tears and more tears may I be as brave as your beautiful son, brother friend in Christ Jesus always. Thank you so much for sharing his testimony and trials of pain and sufferings. But glory to God Jeremiah is no more in pain no more to suffer. Alleluiah!
I will miss Jeremiah a whole lot. He was a great friend to me at the OSA events . He has inspired a whole lot I have drawn closer to the Lord each day because of the words he said. In honor of Jeremiah Thomas i am going to share his letter with 376 students in the high school ministry at my church. And i am planning on sharing with a few other churches near me.

Such an inspiring young man your child was. The story brought me to tears My heart is still raw from the loss of my son earlier this month, though he was middle aged, he was still my child. Jeremiah has touched so many people, every one who has heard of his wish. I believe he performed a service to his passionate detractors also. I believe they were so angry because his example awakened and disturbed their consciences. We may only hope that their consciences will remain awakened and disturbed by Jeremiah’s wish.
