Erline Pratka, 70, of Valley Mills, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Erline was born November 6, 1946 in Waco to Edward Earl Peevey, Sr. and Minnie King Peevey. She graduated from Richfield High School. Erline worked at Central Texas Ministries Meals on Wheels in Waco prior to her retirement. She attended Freedom of God Ministries Church.

She loved the Lord with all her heart and always had a smile on her face. She would ask everyone she met if they had a personal relationship with God and wanted everyone she knew to go to Heaven and to know Jesus. Even during her illness, she was always thinking of others rather than herself. She maintained a strong faith and believed she would be healed either here on earth or in Heaven. Up until the end, she never wavered in her faith.

Calvin, and family, I am so sorry to hear of Erline’s passing. My sympathy and condolences for you and family. Erline was a beautiful person inside and out. We worked together at the VA in Waco along with John Forde. We started to work there within a couple of weeks of one another as clerk typist. It has been a long time since I had seen her at the Dollar Store near Dr. Coleman’s office. We both had a grandchild with us and she recognized my voice on the other side of the counter. I moved back to the Waco area in 1999 and had lost touch with her. She was a good christian back then also. I am sorry I was not aware of her illness. God Bless!
