Don M. Chadwick, Sr., 78, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018.
Visitation and Viewing: 6 to 8PM Tuesday, January 9th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Don was born October 2, 1939 in Waco to A.L. and Lola (Spencer) Chadwick. Family was everything to Don and he worked hard to provide for his family. He was a talented mechanic and he loved racing.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Archie Chadwick; brothers, Terry Chadwick and Larry Chadwick; son, Don Chadwick, Jr.; and son-in-law, Bruce Scott.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Scott of Waco, Lisa Sonnenberg and husband Larry of Waco, Crystal Anthony and husband Richard of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Chadwick Driskell and wife Diana of Waco, and James Chadwick and wife Kimberly of West; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Clay Chadwick of NY, Allen Chadwick of Riesel, David Chadwick of Waco, and Robert Chadwick of Ft. Worth; and best friend of 67 years, Leonard Hamilton of Ross.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

We wish to express our sympathy as your heart grieves the loss of your dad. Losing someone is the hardest part of loving and living. I wish I had known him. So you are wondering who we are. My mother, Dolores, is the half-sister of your grandmother Lola. They have the same dad—George Spencer. She is your great aunt, vibrant, independent, beautiful and we would love to know this side of our family. I recently did her DNA and was contacted by Vernon Chadwick and David Fisher.
