We were very sorry to hear the news of Dee Dee’s death. We knew Dee Dee & Bo Bo from our younger days at Crawford High School and were friends with her father. We spent a lot of time together through sports in school , time on the lake and various other activities. We hated to see her leave Crawford. She was a beautiful girl and our prayers go out to your whole family.

Condolence from Thelma Nelson on July 13th, 2015 9:53 am

I was privileged to have DeeDee in my life as a step daughter. She was a hard worker and cared about everyone whose life she touched….she went through some rough times but she always survived and came out on top, she was the apple of her dad’s eye, and he was proud of her, now she is out of pain and resting in his arms, both taken too soon, but now both out of pain….Love you, will miss you DeeDee….” Go Rest High on That Mountain”

Condolence from Lesa Duke on July 13th, 2015 11:16 am

I first met DE DE on the day we moved to our new home in Lacey Lakeview. It is now funny to me as I was 3&looked out &saw my trike going down the street! My brother got it back but I could never figure out with all the great things they had “why” my old trike. BO BO was on the seat &doing the pedals&DE DE on the back holding on as they went as fast as they could! Those &many more are precious memories now to me as I think of all the funny things that happen until the Nelson moved away. By reading the comments above I think I would have still liked the adult DE DE. Praying for the family as you remember your loved one!

Dixie and family, I just saw in the paper about DeeDee, and we are so sorry to hear about your loss. Dixie, we have shared so much of our lives, both good and bad, over the last almost 50 years, but never dreamed that something like this would happen–losing a child is just so hard! Love and sympathy to you all.
