David James “Crazy Dave” Rudy, 57, of China Spring, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015.

Celebration of Life Service: 4:00 p.m. Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation and Viewing: one hour prior to service, 3:00 p.m. Tuesday September 29, 2015.

David was born on November 6, 1957 in Chicago, IL to James David and Betty (Bowers) Rudy. David had many roles in life as husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he always put everyone first. He was an electronic genius. He was passionate about his wife, kids and grandchildren, they were his life. His beloved dog, Puppy, was his world. David was a true family man. He would also give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. On the contrary, his pet-peeve was being called “sir”. He will be greatly missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara; children, Dorothy Rudy-Harris and fiancé Dwight Abrahams, Betty Rudy and fiancé Nathan Lindan, and James Rudy; grandchildren, Aluara Harris, William Harris, Christopher Blake Harris, Hayleann Harris, Tee J Smith, Matthew Smith, Orion Lindan, and Olivia Lindan; step grandchildren, Rebecca Smith and Savannah Smith; brother, Steven Rudy; nieces, Regina A. Rudy and Kristen K. Rudy; nephew, James S. Rudy; and numerous other relatives.

    Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband and father and grandfather.. Dave was a genuine one of a kind person and he was my absolute favorite client. I could listen to his stories time and time again. (which I did!!).
    He will be missed so very much by many people.

  5. So sorry for your family’s loss.Dave was such a great t.v. repairman and don’t think their was nothing he could not fix and then felt bad to charge you. Lol I worked with Dave at the T.V. Shop in Madisonville,Tx and man did he have some stories to tell.Never a dull moment.Will be praying for Barbara and the kids to get thru the diffult days ahead but know Dave is in such a better place now and will be looking down on you all smiling and watching over you all.
