Bro. Charlie Rodriquez, 53, went to be with Jesus on Saturday morning, November 11, 2017.

Funeral Service:
Thursday, November 16 at 11:00 am at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation: 1 hour prior to service.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery

Bro. Charlie was born to Curtis Rodriguez and Tommie (Gutierrez) Rodriguez on February 8, 1964.  He had nine brothers and sisters.  He met and married the love of his life, Beatrice Resendez in 1996. They had a blended family which included seven children, so life was full.    He loved his family and loved spending time with them.

Bro. Charlie was a man who had a servant’s heart.  He spread the gospel everywhere he went.  He never met a stranger and was always ready to talk.  He and Beatrice started going to Bible Way Church in 2000 and have been a part of that church family ever since.  He ministered in the church, in the jails and prisons, and he and Beatrice enjoyed their tent ministry that was called Casting the Net in Christ Ministries. Bro. Charlie was happiest when he was sharing the gospel. He was a truck driver by trade and he shared the gospel on his CB radio to anyone that would listen.  As you can see by reading this, the common denominator in every area of his life was sharing the Word of God.

Bro. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Gloria Gutierrez.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Beatrice Rodriquez; children, Sarai Rodriquez, Stephanie Trevino and husband Toby, Clara Rodriquez and fiancé Marcos Yanez,  Erik Ramirez , Jayden Rodriquez, Julianna Rodriquez and Jasmine Rodriquez; grandchildren, Adan, Yudi, and Dahriel Garcia and Cattaleya Yanez; stepmother, Darline Rodriguez; siblings, Curtis Rodriguez, Jr. and wife, Leonora, Linda Hernandez and husband Jesse, Ricky  Rodriguez and wife Yolanda, Louis Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez and wife Carol, Johnny Rivera and wife, Sofia, Lydia Rodriguez and fiancé George Wilson, and Richard Lamont; many brothers and sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Many times when he was preaching he would say “Don’t worry, I’m going somewhere,” well on Saturday morning he went somewhere.  Somewhere he had longed to be, Heaven.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.   2 Timothy 4:7
