Billy Jack Bankhead, 54, of Waco, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Providence Hospice Place after a brief battle with cancer.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Road, in Waco.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at Ridin’ High Cowboy Church, 12640 Rock Creek Road, with burial to follow at Patrick Cemetery.

Billy Jack was born February 15, 1962 in Gatesville to Billy Wayne Bankhead and Dorothy Cooper Bankhead. Billy Jack was a 1980 graduate of China Spring High School. He was married to Amy Walker from 1987 until 2001. They were the parents of two sons. For 20 years, Billy Jack owned and operate Bankhead Sand and Gravel. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt and rodeo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy Jack is survived by his sons, Robert Wayne “Bo” Bankhead and his wife, Heather Aslee Bankhead and Ty Dylan Bankhead; sisters, Terri Magee and Lisa Burtchell
