Barry Bickly, 66, of China Spring, passed away January 19, 2015 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Memorial Service: 3PM Thursday, January 22nd at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Barry was born on September 18, 1948 in Waco to Lewis Bickly and Marguerite Jones. After graduating from Bruceville-Eddy High School, he joined the Army and served in Korea. He worked in the trucking industry for several years and eventually started his own sand and gravel business. He was an avid outdoorsman, and had a passion for deer hunting. He loved spending time at the deer lease with his hunting buddies or in the pasture with his horses. He was an amazing storyteller and had everyone in stitches by the time his story was finished.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Martye Pustejovsky, and son-in-law, Robert Futch, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Cora; daughters, Melissa Futch of Eddy, Martie Sielaff and husband, Brad of Hewitt, and Mandy Baker and husband, Robert of Yoakum; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Rita Walters of Waco.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Bluebonnet Hospice, Nurse Jamie Wellbrock, Becky Leibel, Pam Bradbury, and the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department.
